Just wondering because you've at least started with professional comic companies and I haven't applied for work in the field yet. I don't even go to an art school, shamefully it wasn't my major, I haven't even taken any art classes yet but I will finally in the fall as a minor, it is really what I would like to do.
The classes you need to get coloring work would be color theory, and photoshop. Also take some painting courses because understanding painting will make your digital painting and coloring better. The big one that colorists need is color theory though. Then you just need to practice practice practice on comic pages.
If it's what you want to do, you just have to keep at it, and it will eventually happen
